ArtCrawl Harlem Inc.,(501(c)3) founded in 2008 as Harlem’s first trolley car guided art tour and later incorporated as an educational non-profit art gallery tour in 2016. ArtCrawl Harlem’s mission is to support and promote Harlem’s creative community and historical legacy through dynamic arts, cultural programs, and educational initiatives.

ArtCrawl Harlem promotes the exposure of professional and emerging artist, Harlem art galleries and cultural institutions.  The aim is to elevate Harlem on the greater metropolitan cultural map, while providing both education and quality experiences to visitors, tourists and members of the community.

ArtCrawl Harlem sustains, supports and promotes art in Harlem.

Ulysses Williams is the Sole Proprietor of a consulting company specializing in providing services to Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) Construction Companies in New York City as well as the Executive Director of ArtCrawl Harlem, a non-profit educational arts organization that supports and promotes Harlem’s rich visual arts history and community with an annual art exhibition.  Under his leadership ArtCrawl Harlem has been awarded Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) and Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone grants and granted space on Governors Island, NYC.  He is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the organization as well as administrates the Boundaries & Connections Artists Residency Program for NYC based emerging and professional artists and has continued to curate group exhibitions showcasing local artists. He also serves on the Executive Board of The Gatekeepers Collective (TGC) a resiliency group for Same Gender Loving (SGL) Black men a group that recently celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance with an art installation of banners across 125th street honoring the legacy of Black cultural icons of the period. The banners were designed by noted Artist, Jonathan Key.  Ulysses served as a guest juror for the ProArts Jersey City  2021 Curators Choice Selection of artists and also served as Curator of the 2021 ProArts Jersey City Curators Choice Art Exhibition featuring 9 visual artists. He also curated and managed the Fire & Soul Art Exhibition celebrating the Centennial of the Harlem Renaissance.

Ulysses Williams is a graduate of  Saint Peter’s University, upon graduation he held several positions at Saint Peter’ College including the position of Director of The Institute for the Advancement of Urban Education (IAUE) where he managed federally funded grant programs that provided academic programs for elementary students, college preparatory classes for high students and distance learning courses for adults returning to college to complete their college requirements. Currently he manages Baseline 2020 a construction consulting company specializing in providing services to M/WBE (Minority/Women Owned Business Enterprise) companies

After leaving academia he joined the fashion industry as an Account Executive for a multi-line showroom in New York City’s Garment District as well as management positions for luxury brands such as Shanghai Tang, Stephane Kelian, Jimmy Choo and Seven for All Mankind.
